A Wonderful Man

After battling Parkinsons disease for about the last 7 years, my father, James Duane Brumley, passed away on August 5, 2004 at 10:30 am. He was a loving, caring, supportive father and husband, and the kindest and most gentle person I have ever known. He was taken from his family many years too early at the age of 67. His passing was calm and easy as he died in my mothers arms; a thought that will always be very comforting to me. Tomorrow, August 6th, I will be helping my mom with picking out a casket and making the burial arrangements. His calling is on Sunday, August 8th and the service and funeral will take place on Monday the 9th.
Along with the great sadness of this event there is also the joy of knowing that he is now free from any and all pain, and most of all that he is in a much better place.

  1. I totally agree with your statement about your dad being a kind and gentle person. You won’t go wrong following in his steps.
